So It is Now 2020!

If I forgot to tell you - Happy New Year and may 2020 be the best one ever.

I've started 2020 on the downside but I'm hopeful of great things this year.  Miracles do happen and I have a request in to the big guy for a small one - that the door opens to that dark room my hubby's mind is currently trapped in and he breaks free.  He did it with the first stroke so I'm praying he has the strength of will to find himself again.  Guy has had more than his share of issues to overcome but he is and always has been a strong person.

There have been many blessings this year. My little grandson was born in May and he had some issues at first, but he is going strong now.  Almost 8 months and such a happy and fun baby.

My youngest son, Zach, eloped with the girl of his dreams and they seem so perfect for each other.  I do love her!

Other than that, all I can wish for is happiness and health for my family and friends - and everyone! I'm grateful for every blessing I have and I don't want anything for myself.  I'm okay.

Hug your husband, partner, children, family members, friends, etc., for me and you!  And again, Happy New Year!

Oh, and if you have an Amazon card and can't decide what to use it for, check out my books!  (Little promo never hurts!)

Halloween - How about a Minion Halloween?

I have to say I love
Halloween decorations though I'm not particularly inclined to put them up myself.  When the kids left, so did some of the decorating.  But over the years I've developed a fondness for Minions, they make me laugh! So why not Minion Halloween?

In any event -

OOOPS - these aren't minions, but love them just the same!

Memoirs - Beep Beep

I was truly one of the lucky ones who was blessed with a wonderful childhood.  I was always a brave child, loved to be outdoors riding my bike rather than stuck inside watching TV, but sometimes...

Saturday morning, the TV would be blaring.  My brother would have Saturday morning cartoons on long before anyone else was awake.  This was the kid who had to be thrown out of his bed on any other day of the week but not Saturday.  I woke every morning to the sound of "La La La, lala la. la la la, lala la..." But then, who could resist The Roadrunner in his neverending battle with Wile E Coyote or love-starved Pepe Le Pew's quest for amour to the disgust of the black cat.

And then the American viewing audience was thrilled with the first prime time cartoon The Flintstones, followed shortly by the Jetsons.

And then one of my all time favorites - Johnny Bravo came into being.  My favorite line from one of his episodes was when the mad scientist has Johnny hospitalized for removal of his brain and Johnny said,  "Wait a minute! Don't I need that?"

We been through a gamut of cartoon characters, my sons the superheroes, the Disney princesses with my granddaughter and I've enjoyed most of them but in this point of my life,  I have to admit, I'm somewhat taken by the Minions.
