Abducted, Captives to an Alien Race - Star Brides Series

1,000 women, 1,000 lonely alien males, and when the two sides meet, the battle commences.

The Star Brides (Deg'Nara) Series.

Book 1 - The Chalice

Decimated by the savage Deg’Nara and teetering on the brink of extinction, the last surviving males of the once great Chiagan-Se embark on a quest to salvage what is left of their civilization. They send their remaining seeker ships into the void, searching for genetically compatible females. Time is running out, but in the far reaches of the universe, on an obscure and primitive planet, a match is discovered.

One thousand panic-stricken women awaken two hundred years in the future, captives aboard an unmanned alien spacecraft bound for parts unknown! How had they gotten there and why?

The males thought they came willingly. The females believed they’d been kidnapped. Full of hopeful expectation, the Chiagan-Se prepare for the arrival of their new mates. Terrified and furious at the inexplicable abduction, the women prepare for combat! And when the two sides meet, the battle commences.

Abaddon Rising Available for Pre-Order - So very exciting!

Abaddon Rising, the third in my Star Brides Series, is now available for pre-order from Amazon, B&N and Smashwords.  The Chalice and Breeder Slave are now available at reduced prices.  If you like scifi romances, this might be the series for you!  Get your copies today!

One of a million statistics in the intergalactic war, Jocelyn St. Germaine is captured, sold as a slave and then forced to fight in the Deg’Nara gladiator games.  She’s slated to lose when Kanaan, the most feared warrior of all, claims her as his own.
With his help, Joss’s chances of survival increase, but is it enough?

Kanaan filled his lungs and roared, head thrown back as he issued the challenge. “She belongs to me! I claim her!”
From behind him, he caught the female’s startled gasp.

Excerpt:

Kanaan perched on a high ledge watching the drama below. The female crouched against the slave gate glaring at the horde of leering male slaves as they crept forward. She wouldn’t last the night. None of the females did in here. She’d be torn limb from limb but not before she was forced to endure the bestial attentions of the dominant members of the pens. Too bad really! He admired the female. She was feisty, skilled, a born killer, but a female all the same.
He found it odd that her handler put her in here. She’d proven herself with every match, winning each round and advancing up the ladder. Usually an asset was treated with a little more respect, especially a female no less who’d won every bout. The crowds seemed to side with her during combat and he knew for a fact she’d made Master Luidoc’s pockets a little heavier. Didn’t make any sense that she’d be thrown in here!
He scrubbed a hand across his jaw considering. The female interested him for more than just her fighting skills. She was different, her species unknown to him. In many ways she reminded him of the Arkogian females. The body type was similar and they were known for jutting mammary glands but her delicate build and graceful movements decried that lineage. Arkogians were block-shaped and coarse, even more so than Deg’Nara females. Perhaps she’s a hybrid! Lot of us around these days, he admitted ruefully.
She’d drawn his attention from the first time he’d seen her fight in the pits. Slender and elegant, she looked more dancer than warrior. She was controlled, seeming bored even but that façade swiftly melted away when her opponent entered the ring. The only time he witnessed her control slip was when the female, Anashe he remembered, fell.
A few more paces and the mob would be on her and then it would be over. He drew a deep breath and exhaled. He stood up, gauging the distance to the ground and then dropped landing in front of the female.
He was within inches of the frontrunners of the mob, so close he could taste their reek. He spat, clearing his mouth of the vile aroma.
“Back off,” he growled, snapping his teeth. “Or it’ll be the last step you’ll ever take!”

Monday Morsel - Lost in the Universe

Her only chance for survival was the fugitive breeder slave who wanted nothing to do with her.

Breeder Slave by P. L. Parker

Excerpt:

“I hate to break it to you Mr. Romantic, but I haven’t been in here dreaming of the moment you storm through the door and ravage my trembling body.” She heaved a sigh damning poor timing and unrelieved sexual tension. “The only thing I want ravaging my body right now is that bed and about three rotations of uninterrupted sleep.”
Like a schoolboy caught in the act, he shifted from foot to foot as a slow blush colored his pale cheeks. His head dipped, the long silver tresses covered his face. Biceps bunched as his hands fisted.
His head lifted, the brilliant blue eyes blazed. “I have never wanted a female before. That choice was taken from me by those who called themselves my master.” The mobile lips twitched. “Forced breeding was just another atrocity those of us in captivity were expected to endure.”
The blue gaze locked with hers as he took a few steps forward. “But I want you. Want you as I have never wanted another thing in my entire existence.”
            Now we’re talking!
He continued. “I don’t know about softness or warmth…or what happens between a male and a female who desire each other. I only know that I want you so much my mind cannot think.”
There it is! Her stomach spasmed. More than she’d expected—more than she imagined he’d ever admit.

Book Videos - Are they Helpful?

Over the years, I've tried my hand at book videos or had them put together by another. But I wonder, do they really do any good for promotion?  What are your thoughts on this?

Just to add to the conversation, here are a few of the book trailers created for my works.

Monday Morsel

Like SciFi?  Romance?  Sequels?  BREEDER SLAVE sequel to The Chalice.

He was her salvation...or her destruction.

Monday Morsel:

“Not very inviting,” Leah commented as she scrutinized the dismal scenery flashing below.
“You think this is bad,” Amber chuckled. The edges of her prosthetic nose wrinkled. “What until you catch a whiff of the unwashed multitudes. Stench’ll make you want to gag. At least up here all you have to deal with is the ugly.”
“I dinnae like stinky,” Moira grumbled as she picked at the large snout Amber forced her to wear. Cupid’s bow lips pressed together in a girly scowl. “It’s bad enough we have tae go down there, but holding my breath the whole time will make it even harder tae bear—and this thing on my face itches like the bejesus!
“You look more like a Deg’Nara with it on and you can’t hold your breath the whole time,” Leah grinned, “unless you plan on staying there permanently.”
“I dinnae plan tae stay there any time at all,” Moira retorted. She dropped a bundle of cloth to the deck. “And I dinnae want tae wear that smelly cape again.”
“You. Have. To. Wear. It.” Amber pronounced each word succinctly. “I’ve told you before, Deg’Nara females seldom travel alone and never if they’re part of the upper echelon. I’m supposed to be a Deg’Nara Commander and it would be unheard of for me to travel without my entourage. There’s no getting around that fact. If this were a perfect plan, I’ve have a dozen butt kissers following me around, but we don’t have the manpower and I can’t risk pulling any more crew members from the Ejupa.”
Leah picked up the disgusting cloak, grimacing to herself as she handed it to Moira. “Buck up little cowgirl. If this is the worst you have to endure from here on out, it’s a good trade.”
“Why dinnae you wear it?” With great reluctance, Moira took the offending object and gingerly eased it on.
“Because I’m the slave and I don’t have to…er… get to wear anything so important looking.”
Leah adjusted the cloth around Moira’s face, taking time to tuck each errant red curl well back into the scarf covering the smaller woman’s head. When she was satisfied none of Moira’s coppery locks were visible, she draped the hood lower until there was little left to see of the diminutive female to alert interested bystanders of her human origins. Perfect!
