Another 5 Star Review for GINGER on Amazon!  Thank you Cara Bristol:

"In book 3 of this post-apocalyptic sci-fi romance series, Ginger and her genetically enhanced sisters, who’ve been living in an abandoned installation in Colorado, are trekking to Montana after their hideaway is discovered and invaded by the alien Friems. They going to meet up with a military group intending to fight the Friems and take back Earth. But along the way, the sisters’ convoy is attacked by alien drones, and Ginger runs off, luring the drones away, saving most of her people."  Cara Bristol

Another 5 Star Review for Poppy! I'm Loving It! #alieninvasion #scifi #scifiromance #romance #plparker

Another 5 star review for Poppy:

"This is a great post-apocalyptic sci-fi romance series. Earth’s population was all but wiped out by the Friems, terrifying aliens. Bands of survivors have taken refuge wherever they can find it. Jackers, lowlife human scum, prey on the survivors, often working for the Friems.
...
Fantastic worldbuilding. Great characters.
This is an awesome series. Start at the beginning with Saffron. (All the sisters are named after spices)." Reviewed May 9 by Cara Bristol.

Sage is Coming! Book 4 in the Chimeras Series! #dystopian #alieninvasion #romance #scifi #adventure

She's coming! SAGE, Book 4 in the Chimeras series.  She's the warrior. The protector. But most times she's just a pain in the ass. Brash, determined, uncontrollable. A man's woman. Look for her soon!

30,500+ Words on Sage - Book 4 in the Chimeras #alieninvasion #dystopian #scifi #adventure

It's always satisfying to pass that 30,000 mark.  My Chimeras series are all in the 50,000 to 55,000 range so hitting he 30,500 mark is a milestone.  I've reached that in Book 4 of The Chimeras series: Sage.

Sage is the warrior. Tough, resilient and self-serving, but along comes Gideon, a guy she can't seem to love and leave. What's with that?

I hope to have this book ready by late spring/early summer, so look for it.  In the meantime, if you like scifi/action/alien invasion, you might try the first three books in the series: Saffron, Poppy and Ginger.

Spring is Just Around the Corner - YAYYYYYY! #spring #plparker #romance #scifi

Spring is just around the corner and I am so ready for it. Seems as though this winter has been a long one or perhaps I'm just getting old and the cold weather affects me more. No matter! Spring is almost here!

Soon, I'll be out in the yard pulling out old plants in preparation for planting new. Yard cleanup, and I can tell I've got my work cut out for me.  I have to admit, I hate mowing but generally my son handles that aspect for me.

The tulips have already broke through as well as patches of daffodils and crocus. Love my tulips. Unfortunately, so do the squirrels. Who knew squirrels would eat tulips but they do. Ornery critters.

Anyway, with all that's going on in the world, I'm content to stay in my own little corner and enjoy the benefits it provides.

Here's to Spring!

A Month of Love! Valentine's Day #valentines #love #scifi #paranormal #plparker

Happy Valentine's Day!  I have always loved Valentine's Day, more so when my husband was alive, but to me, it is a day of joy.  Hearts and flowers and, of course,  chocolate.  My husband always made sure I received at least one of these standard gifts and, every so often, a stuff toy.  My favorite is/was the pink monkey I have hanging on my cabinet. Used to drive him crazy the many poses I could put that monkey in, but secretly, I think he liked it.

Here's wishing you a month of love and joy, and many more after this.

Patsy

P.S. - I heard the groundhog didn't see his shadow so spring is coming early.

Reaching a Personal Goal! #scifi #scifiromance #romance #plparker #alieninvasion

We all have goals, and none of them are the same for the most part.  My goal is to finish all six books in my Chimeras series.  I have already published SAFFRON and POPPY, and I'm almost finished with the third in the series, GINGER.

The Chimeras are genetically engineered females. They are faster, stronger, with keen intellect, eyesight and hearing, and they were bred to lead humanity's fight for survival after the alien invasion.

Each girl has her special abilities, engineered by their birth mother and the sperm of a chosen male, one with superior intelligence in his given field. Saffron is a born leader, Poppy a healer, Ginger a teacher, Sage the warrior, Anise the computer brainiac and, lastly, Thyme, born with a combination of all the abilities of her older sisters.

I've had a good time writing these stories.  So many ideas keep popping into my head for each girl, and I'm using my less-than-brainiac mind to keep track of those ideas.

I hope you will take the time to read SAFFRON's story and, perhaps, it will tantalize you enough to keep reading.

Because I'm a Scifi Nut and Its on My Bucket List! #scifi #scifiromance #alieninvasion #paranormal #area51

.

Hey Everyone!

Like all of you, I have my bucket list, and this fall, I just might get to check another one off.  I've always wanted to visit Roswell, New Mexico, and in October, my oldest son and I are going to make the journey south and see what this place is all about. I'm excited.  We plan to take the RV simply because now that I'm fostering my son's two dogs as well as my own two, it would be too expensive to board them.  Of course, the cost of gas might preclude this trip but we're hopeful that by October, gas prices will be down enough that we can afford to go.

Another of my bucket list hopefuls is to travel to northern Alaska or Greenland and see the Northern Lights.  I know sometimes we get glimpses in Idaho, but those are few and far between and I've never been fortunate enough to witness this phenomena.  Someday I want to do this.

I also want to visit Scotland and parts of England. At my age, I should do this soon before I can't.

What's on your bucket list?

Patsy

5+ Stars from N.N. Light's Book Heaven for my Novel POPPY #scifi #scifiromance #alieninvasion #adventure

5+ stars for review of POPPY from N.N. Light's Book Heaven. So pleased!

"...The descriptive narration works hand-in-hand with the world-building. There’s a feeling of desperation throughout the narration. There’s also an undercurrent of isolation as each character comes to grips with whatever is happening. Each scene is described vividly so the reader feels the stark emotions and tension..." N.N. Light's Book Heaven.

Honoring My Mother - Memories of Her #mothersday #mothers #memories #plparker

My mother's favorite color was pink. When I was little, every new dress I got was pink! As I got older, I finally broke it to her that pink wasn't my favorite color. (My favorite color is cherry red.)

My mother was a stay-at-home housewife, which back then was pretty much the norm.  She was a pretty woman. Beautiful smile and large, hazel eyes.  She was an amazing cook, and growing up, she was my best friend. She could be tough, don't get me wrong, and she had her little eccentricities, but she was a good mom.  Our house was always clean and well-ordered. She loved her family above all else and her family is what she was proud of.  I know that if push came to shove, my other would be in there shoving for me, no matter what the cost.

So many memories.  She had a good sense of humor, maybe not the impish, scamp humor of my father, but a good one all the same. She could do her own practical jokes - her favorite was catching a spider (which she was not scared of) and chasing Dad around the house. He hated that game!

I and my three siblings were blessed to be a part of her family. We learned so many things from her.  I remember evenings when we were cleaning up dinner, washing dishes, drying them, etc., and my sisters, my mother, and I would sing.  She had a lovely voice and we made quite a good singing group. She was a great dancer and Dad and she cut quite a rug when they were out.

Momma wasn't perfect, but she was a great mother. I miss her every day and often times, I pull out a momento just to feel close to her.

I hope you grew up with a special mom, and if not, make those memories with your children.  I was blessed with three wonderful sons and there is not a day that I don't feel overwhelming love for each one.  They are my true blessings.

Love to you all, and for all you Mothers, soon to be Mothers, Mothers-in-Law, Happy Mother's Day!

Do You Dream of Traveling Back in Time? #timetravel #scifi #romance #adventure

Come on!  I know you have! Even for just a few years to correct some wrong or change a little part of your history?  We all do. But in reality, would I want to change my life?  If I never married my first husband, I wouldn't have my two oldest sons, and that I couldn't endure. I've came up with ideas to get around that - stealing his semen, meeting him for just the nights I figure they were conceived - that sort of thing. But really, not feasible. What if the wrong little swimmer made it through? Nope, can't change that part of my life. But there are other parts I would gladly change, given the chance. Mistakes I made and chances I could have taken to meet my second husband earlier, or prevent some of the disasters that have hit my family. Hindsight is always better than foresight so they say.

Time travel is a concept that is so enticing. I would love to be able to travel back and view history from a bubble of safety. I don't know that I'd actually like to take part, but I would like to see life as it happened in earlier times. See Rome when it was in its glory, as well as ancient Egypt before its downfall. Perhaps even view Cleopatra or watch as Boudica fought the Romans. So many things to see. Exciting thoughts, but impossible. Some say time travel will happen, and if it did, where would you go?  I'd have a hard time with that one. Too many choices.

Anyway, I've recently added another chapter in the Time Warriors series, bringing that group to four.  I had thought that series was finished but I had so many requests to continue the journey, I caved.

Travel back 40,000 years.  Could you survive?  The Time Warriors Series, available on Amazon.
